Other Chemicals

COCONUT OIL FATTY ACID

Coconut Fatty Acid is used in soaps, bath products, and household and industrial cleaning products as a surfactant, cleansing agent, emulsifier and a foam booster. Its high Lauric content makes an excellent lathering and conditioning bath soap.

DIBASIC ESTERS

Dibasic esters are used in paints, coil coatings, paint strippers, coatings, plasticizers, resins, binders, solvents, polyols, soil stabilization, chemical grouting, oilfield drilling fluids, crop protection products, cedar spray, and adhesives.

FATTY ACIDS

Fatty acids have a wide range of commercial applications. For example, they are used not only in the production of numerous food products but also in soaps, detergents, and cosmetics. Soaps are the sodium and potassium salts of fatty acids.

FATTY ALCOHOL

Fatty alcohols are mainly used in the production of detergents and surfactants. They are components also of cosmetics, foods, and as industrial solvents. Due to their amphipathic nature, fatty alcohols behave as nonionic surfactants

GLYCERINE

Glycerin can be used as a moisturizer, solvent, and as a sweetener in food and beverages. This compound can also help preserve certain foods. Glycerin is also known to be used in commercially packaged low-fat foods (such as cookies) as a filler.

MALEIC ANHYDRIDE

Maleic anhydride is used in the production of unsaturated polyester resin as well as in the manufacture of coatings, pharmaceutics, agricultural products, surfactants, and as an additive of plastics.

NONYL PHENOL

Nonylphenols (NPs) are a family of closely related organic compounds called alkylphenols. They are used in manufacturing antioxidants, lubricating oil additives, laundry and dish detergents, emulsifiers, and solubilizers.

NONYLPHENOL ETHOXYLATE

Nonylphenol ethoxylate (NPEs) are surfactants used in some commercial and institutional detergents that enhance their effectiveness, but also cause problems. They can cause skin and eye irritation in people who work with them.

PENTAERYTHRITOL 95%

Pentaerythritol is a simple five-carbon tetraol used in the fabrication of resins, alkylated resins, varnishes, PVC stabilizers, tall oil esters, and olefin antioxidants.

PENTAERYTHRITOL 98%

Pentaerythritol is a simple five-carbon tetraol used in the fabrication of resins, alkylated resins, varnishes, PVC stabilizers, tall oil esters, and olefin antioxidants.

PHENOL

Phenol is used primarily in the production of phenolic resins and in the manufacture of nylon and other synthetic fibers. It is also used in slimicides (chemicals that kill bacteria and fungi in slimes), as a disinfectant and antiseptic, and in medicinal preparations such as mouthwash and sore throat lozenges.

N PROPYL PHENOL HYDRATED

Phenol is used primarily in the production of phenolic resins and in the manufacture of nylon and other synthetic fibers. It is also used in slimicides (chemicals that kill bacteria and fungi in slimes), as a disinfectant and antiseptic, and in medicinal preparations such as mouthwash and sore throat lozenges.

PHTHALIC

Phthalic Acid is used mainly in the form of anhydride to produce other chemicals such as dyes, perfumes, saccharin, phthalates, and many other useful products. Plasticizers such as Phthalic Acid esters (phthalates) are used in a wide range of consumer goods, commodities, and construction materials.

ANHYDRIDE POLYOLS

Polyols, such as glucitol, xylitol, and maltitol, are used to provide sweet taste in food. A major advantage of polyols is the functional ability to provide sweetness with fewer calories per gram. The absence of an aldehyde group in polyols prevents them from participating in Maillard reaction.

POLYVINYL ALCOHOL

PVA is used in many industries, such as textile, paper industry, and food packaging industry because of its high chemical and thermal stability, and low manufacturing cost. It is also a popular water-soluble polymer and has high strength and high optical transparency in water.

TETRAHYDROFURAN

Tetrahydrofuran is a versatile solvent, which is one of its main uses. It acts as an industrial solvent for making polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the plastic that the majority of indoor plumbing is made out of, and it also dissolves PVC, and therefore is a primary ingredient in PVC adhesives.
