Hydrocarbons

N-HEXANE

The major use for solvents containing n-Hexane is to extract vegetable oils from crops such as soybeans. These solvents are also used as cleaning agents in the printing, textile, furniture, and shoemaking industries.

SOLVENT NAPHTHA – 100

Solvent Naphtha 100 (SN100) is an intermediate hydrocarbon liquid derived from crude oil refining. Aromatic hydrocarbons are mainly used in paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, printing inks, polychoroprene rubber, concrete curing compounds, and anti-drying agents.

SOLVENT NAPHTHA – 150

Solvent Naphtha 150 is a colorless non-viscous liquid with a strong aromatic odour. It is not soluble in water, but in aromatic solvents. Solvent Naphtha 150 is used as a solvent in the paint and varnish industry. It is used mainly in metallic paints, but can also be found in varnishes and wood paints.

TOLUENE

Toluene is found naturally in crude oil, and is used in oil refining and the manufacturing of paints, lacquers, explosives (TNT) and glues. In homes, toluene may be found in paint thinners, paintbrush cleaners, nail polish, glues, inks and stain removers.

WHITE SPIRIT

White spirit is used in paints, coatings, waxes, varnishes, adhesives, printing inks and liquid photocopier toners. In industry it is also used as a solvent for, cleaning, degreasing and substance extraction. In households, white spirit is commonly used to clean paint brushes or thin paint.

XYLENE

Xylenes is used as a solvent in the manufacturing of chemicals, agricultural sprays, adhesives and coatings, as an ingredient in aviation fuel and gasoline, and as a feedstock in manufacturing various polymers, phthalic anhydride, isophthalic acid, terephthalic acid, and dimethyl terephthalate.
